Learn to Play American Mahj Wednesdays

Service Description

These three lessons will teach you to confidently play American Mahjong. In Lesson One we'll start with our Quick Start Mahjong Card which trains you to read the National Mahjongg League Card, the standard for playing American Mahjong. You will learn the tiles and the flow of the game by playing with expert guidance. In Lesson Two we'll level up to the full National Mahjongg League Card (you'll need to purchase your own - it's $15). You'll learn how to read the full Card, do the Charleston - a choreographed series of passes that precedes game play, and we'll play a game of Mahjong. Lesson Three is a guided play experience that lets you put all your learning into action and be ready to join any table. You may bring anything you like to eat or drink. Lessons take place in our Mahjong Parlor at Flourish Ayurveda Center in Columbia Tusculum. Price is for 3 sessions with a maximum student to teacher ratio 8:1. If you cannot attend one of the sessions I'll make every effort to include you in a future offering. All materials except NMJL Card are provided. I'll let you know how to purchase NMJL Card. You don't need to bring anything except what you want to eat or drink to Lesson One. Once you purchase Subscription Plan you have to register for your three classes - 5/20, 5/27 and 6/3 or 6/10, 6/17 and 6/24. Let me know if you need help.
